I have always waited until the weeds got at least as tall as the beans. Otherwise some of your roundup will not get to the weeds. This has worked well for me. I have spot sprayed if later weeds came on and never noticed a loss of yield. At this point the only otherr option would be not to sprswy and that probably wouldn't be good.
