Well........The politicians spend most of their time trying to get reelected, while enriching themselves. The crooks, Politicians have to give everything to all voters that they can promise, like, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, food stamps, and of course the pork projects for their districts. This all equates to a train slowly going over a cliff. If everyone got everything they wanted at a company, like GM then the company would go bankrupt, like GM. The country as a whole cannot sustain the current spending, it just wont work in the long run. The right side and left side have different calculators on how to make it work. I wont get into how much I despise the left and I dont really like the right either, Lesser of 2 evils.
