Not really. Each horse has to be microchipped and have an equipass that reflects shot records and if it can be slaughtered or not and record of rabies and other contagious disease vaccine if it is transported on public roads, especially when crossing state (bavaria, hessen, etc)/country borders. A lot of folks have horses and don't have pasture. They stay in a big stall and get excercised. You should see how close our houses are together. The last cows and pigs were sold off a couple years ago, but 11 years ago when we moved here, within a 75 yard circle of our house was a hundred or so pigs, well over a hundred cows, fowl and other livestock. You would never know it o drive by.
