dave, the plastics on a quad are different than an automotive bumper. it seems they are a high silicone plastic and its difficult to get paint adhesion. do not scuff the plastic with a scotchbrite or sandpaper. it will pull hairs out of the plastic. warm water wash with car wash soap, clear water rinse and dry with a blow gun. we use a prep product called bulldog. you body shop supplier will have it. comes in an aerosol can. stinks to high heaven. bulldog is an adhesion promoter.
