It was factory positive ground. If it still has the generator on it then it still should be positive ground. As the others have posted someone that did not know put a different battery in it negative ground. They more than likely ruined the voltage regulator and possibly the generator too.
Good luck with that JD 2010. I am JD through and through but you could not give me a JD 2010. Just a money pit waiting to happen. They where junk whan new.
