Around here in W Tx, back in the 50's, 60's and up into the 70's, every farm had at least one Hoeme (pronounced "Hamey") and usually 2 or 3 and they were used just about year round. Plowing cotton ground in the fall and wheat ground in the summer, along with plowing turnrows and layout ground. First time I ever got to drive a "big" tractor (Farmall 560LP) by myself when I was 10 yr old, it was pulling a "Hamey" plowing a playa lake bottom.
Sorry about such a long post, but this topic brought back many memories...lol
