Last year a straight-line wind laid my sweet corn nearly flat around the 4th of July. I went out with a hoe and lifted it back up and hilled it (you can bury the stalks with a lot of dirt, they just throw out roots when you do). It ended up producing fine. It sure was a lot of work though, and the the blackbirds ended up taking half of it, but it was worth it!
Last year fungal blights caused me a lot of grief and this year it's going to be the same it seems. We seem to get a little rain just about every day, and a lot of rain on those other days.
