We baled a 5.6 acre coastal bermuda field yesterday. This was the first cutting and we only got 66 small square bales. Usually we get around 450. We shot it with 200 lbs/acre of 34-0-0 after baling, so we should have a decent second cutting (if we can get rain). The rest of our fields are dried up almost completely, though. If we could get an inch of rain, we might be able to salvage at least some hay off them, though.
