I cut 1/8 of my hay, the rest is gonna get pretty ripe grass. The stuff I baled was pretty wet, not great hay.
Odd think neighbor has his alfalfa to do yet too, and it is not blooming yet! Was such a cold wet spring, the whole field should be purple by now, and it's not. He bags the alfalfa, so don't need a very big weather window; but wiuth 2 inches of rain, there are puddles in our fields, can't get the heavy modern chopper through the field without destrying it.
