I was there on vacation, back in the early '70s. Had a good time seeing the sights.
One of the favorites sights was taking a ferry across the Mississippi on a highway that went from Portageville(?), Mo. over to Tiptonville, TN. & Reelfoot Lake.
There came up a bad storm as we were crossing on the ferry and it was kind of awesome (and scary). LOL
I've thought about going there again some day.
If that ferry is still running, your grandaughters would really enjoy that.
