I like your pictures and tractors and paint jobs But I keep coming back to this one nagging question. Why are you using such a heavy tractor and inplement for the first trip over a wet field? Have you thought about using a lighter weight tactor (for instance a 460 Farmall, 830 Case, or other simular light weight tractor pulling a 4 or 6 r0w rotary at about 9 to 10 mph.) Light weight to avoid compaction. Go fast to break crust and throw dirt to dry ground. Few ruts and lots less compaction. A day or two ground should be dry enough for serious shallow tillage (3 to 5 inches) than plant. I do understand though this has not been a normal spring and I am not sure about youg soil conditions and texture. I welcome your thoughts and comments. Armand
