Best to call the local soil conservation office. We use fescue mixed with perennial ryegrass, but we are down near Ky. You are likely too far north for fescue. Maybe s.brome in combo w ryegrass. We always put a ladino or alsike clover in the mix at 1/2 lb/acre with ryegrass at 14 lb/acre. Also apply 15-15-15 fertilize at 500 lb /acre. Again should call local office for free advice, grass species suited to your area. Going into dry time of summer with a grass seeding is a risk. Mulch is a must for any waterway seeding also and might hold enough moisture to get the grass started.
