I just replaced the shaft bearings in my Jubilee. The bottom one in the oil was ok but one above the worm was totally gone, pieces in the bottom of the case. Yours must have bound up instead of falling apart. There's another one just below the steering wheel I freed up before. I got the shaft out of the box by cramping the jacked up wheels while my friend lifted the shaft out. The steering wheel will come off with a 3-jaw puller and a smack with a hammer on the hub. Use small clevises on the spokes so the puller will be in the right direction. HTH.
