Wife went out and picked some of the sweet corn today, first we've gotten this year so far. Have quite a bit more, plus I planted another batch a few weeks ago. We are planning on going over to my 88 year old Dads house Monday and cook for him and his lady friend as well as some of his neighbors. The wife said the corn will be going in the smoker too, so I imaging we will be having a wonderful time on Memorial Day! Here is the wife shucking some of the corn she picked, it's Peaches and Cream sweet corn. I sure hope it's as good as it looks! . .
And I put the smoker in my little baby trailer along with some wood. Since it's Memorial Day, I figured I might as well deck it out with a few flags too. It's only about 5 miles over to Dads place, so I guess I'll leave the flags in place and just drive slow. Mmmmm, I can't wait. Ribs, sausage, chicken, pork and sweet corn. I can already smell it! . .
