Bosch makes great dishwashers, but stay away from their Ascenta series. They are trying to get the price down, but the Ascenta has plastic incorporated along with the stainless steel interiors and has a db rating around 60. The new Kitchenaid KUDE series is exceptional. They are owned by Whirlpool, but has nothing in commom with them, parts wise. Like Bosch, they removed the built in disposal, that is noisy, and put in a filter-based system.. You remove and clean the filter about every 2 or 3 months, a 15 second job. These have db's around 40-46 Stainless steel interiors helps the drying, because the steel gets hot and creates more condensation and drys with less spotting.
