My cousin had an old S-10 work truck that had a small leak in the tank. He tried jb weld and few other epoxy type fixes and none held. He gogged some red RTV on it and it lasted for years.
If it's where you can get to it and you can see right were it's leak'n I have used a roofing screw with the rubber washer on a few things over the years with pretty good luck.
