I don't know how it works in Wisconsin,or with a private sale,but I consigned some things on a neighbors auction back in 87. A few pieces of equipment never got picked up. The neighbor wanted it out of there. I asked the auctioneer how to get ahold of the buyer. He told me that if it wasn't picked up in a year,it belonged to me. I went and got it. Then ironically,I sold one piece to a neighbor just to the south a few years later and HE never came after it. The darned thing sat around here for another 20 years til I finally hauled it to the crusher last fall. Maybe I should have just sold it again to somebody who wouldn't come and get it. I person could make a pretty good living that way if you had enough volume I suppose.
