make sure the adjusting screw isnt broken or stripped, i had one in my jube, it turned ok, but the threads were bad and turning it in reality did nothing, also check the needle and seat, if its sticky it could be causing a flooding situation also check that the float actualy is one and not full of gas from a pin hole in it check for proper float height adjustment, put a good set of autolite plugs in the ol girl while your at it, sometimes plugs , especially champions crap out under load
