I saw the show he is talking about. They were talking about lake Mead being so low that another intake pipe is having to be installed 150 feet lower than the others. They were talking about the city of Las Vegas running out of a water source. It would have to be pumped a long way but really only to the colorado river basin (just west of Denver) It would still have to cross the great divide though. Not feasible (yet). I did read that Lake Mead/ Lake Powell are having above average inflow this year though.
