Last Tuesday I was blasting some gopher holes in my pasture...It all went well, but when I took my ear plugs out, I heard some crackling sounds. About 10 feet out from where I was, 2 small pillow size grass fires burning, erupting out of a couple of tunnels that fed from the blasting tunnel. I tried stomping them out but all that was doing was burning my boots. My wife had a garden hose running, watering a fruit tree near by. By the time I grabbed it, the fire had spread to about a 12'x12' area, in about a 30 second time frame. Very scary. I now have a fire extinguisher on my cart.
