i know any mechanic would just remove the head and do the job properly. not even waste time on any sort of soaking, swearing, or screwing things up by trying to loosen a stuck engine. biggest thing is most people with a stuck engine dont have a clue what to do so they think soaking is the answer,... wrong. i have even seen the sleeves broke off at the top on a w6 and pulled down into the bore, by pulling and popping the clutch. my advise, keep that damm exhuast pipe coverd when tractor is not in use. any sort of rain or other moisture causes pitting of cyl. walls and valves and seats. very easy to see this on engine dissasembly. sure they will run but there is nothing for an engine that has water sit in it.
