I have one that has the Wisconsin engine. As dkmruss states it is a 6.5 hp model AKN. Mine is serial A0358 and was manufactured in Atlanta. Dad bought it in the early fiftys as I remember from the man who had sold the patent to Sothern Saw works, he was a Snapper dealer in Sanford Florida. It was used continually until he died in 1970. After that, it fell into disuse and was left outside to rust. I now have it stored inside and intend to restore it. The engine is completely useless and I am looking for a rebuildable AKN for it. Contact me if anyone knows of one in the Central Florida area. Shipping is cost prohibitive.
