The 550 is a tough little tractor; the steering is one of the weak points however, you can have problems with the "recirculating ball" type steering gear. Olivers,having a seperate hydralic system can leak down into the trans-differential housing, something you wouldn't know till you ran it a while. Front spindles tend to be a little weak, and expensive.
We used one HARD as a loader tractor for about 15 years and that's been my experience.
