I received the build card for my 1967 diesel 1550 recently. The Floyd County Historical Society does a nice job in providing materials to decode the card.
The tractor is a row crop with an adjustable utility type front axle and the high speed transmission. The front tires are 7.5-16 and the rears were originally 15.5-38. Somewhere along the line the rear tires were changed to 16.9-38. The 16.9-38's give it a nice level look. This tractor was shipped to Quebec originally.
Although worn, I don't plan on replacing the rears anytime soon but I can imagine that the stance must have looked like it was going up hill a bit when the rears were 15.5-38.
Does anybody have a 1550 in this configuration with 7.5-16's in the front and 15.5-38's in the rear? If so, could you post a picture?
