I have an old Campbell Hausfeld 2 cylinder Air Compressor Pump which I pieced together with other stuff to make a 60 gallon, 5HP compressor. The crank broke on it about 2 yrs ago (old repair finally gave up) and I managed to find a replacement crank from a local guy who is no longer available. I have no idea where the replacement came from (maybe I don't want to know)
One of the aluminum connecting rods came apart and subsequently broke last week. This is probably at least partly my fault - when I put the pump back together I never thought about using thread locker when I put the caps on the rods. No lockwashers or anything. Idiot.
The case of the pump is marked "VT0003 2" The model number format, even the "VT" corresponds to Campbell hausfeld's numbers, but they claim that they need the model of compressor it came off to help me, which of course I don't have. I've been to their website, and the part numbers from my pump and the connecting rods don't match anything they have, though the format is correct.
I noticed, though, that all of their "VT" series pumps use the same connecting rod - VT000100AG. My rod is marked VT000103B. I'm thinking they're all the same.
Does anyone have any past experience getting parts for these pumps?
