This is great info but by the time I will be able to capture it it will be gone. I will be 45 next month. Born and raised in Kentucky, came to California for work (commercial construction superintendent) in 84. Married a Ca. girl in 89 and we've settled in Tracy on a 1.5ac. "ranchette"(funny California word). We have two kids from her first whom I have raised as mine for all these years and a two year old son(no, he wasn't an accident but that's another long story) from this marriage. Great kids all. The teenage son thinks the tractor is cool, the toddler thinks its the greatest thing in the world. My wife has been into horses since she was a child so that has given me the excuse I need to buy my 54NAA three months ago. Its the first tractor I have ever owned. I've never particularly liked working on cars and such but love working on this tractor. I have the NAA which runs great but needs restoring and a 9N that belongs to my brother in law that doesn't run. I'm trying to talk him into letting me tear down and rebuilt his. My wife teases me about the tractor, this board and watching "the tractor channel", she thinks its funny when I say things like "I love the NAA but the 9N is probably more historically important." But when she sees how little Anthony's eyes light up when I take him for a ride, all is well. I've already gotten a lot out of this board. I contribute when I can, mostly about construction or some of the "off subject" stuff. I try to read it as often as I can and probably more than I should. Post you soon philm
