I was born a poor black boy in the ghetto. No, just kidding. Born (1959) and raised in a small (2300) farming community in SW Michigan. While most of the neighbors kids had go-carts and mini-bikes, I spent my younger years tooling around on a Farmall B and apprenticing under my German grandfather a Master cabinet maker.. Moved to Boulder, CO in 1997, started a small cabinet shop and built custom furniture for the rich folks in town. Spent way too much time at the airport, and ended up making parts for the local antique airplane association. Actually got some stick time in a restored F4U-4 Corsair (my dream plane) and raced motorcycles on the weekend. Boulder grew from 30k to 100k from 77 to 85, so I relocated to Moscow (north) Idaho and picked up a partnership in a cabinet shop. Enrolled in the University of Idaho with a double major in Forestry (forest products) and Architecture with an emphasis in Timber Frame Design and Construction. After buying 40 acres outside of town, I found my 41 9n (9N53623) with a Dearborn loader for $1200.00. Sold the loader the next week for $800.00. I figured for a total investment of $400.00, I couldnt go wrong. Used the beast to skid logs, blade, and clear brush on the acreage for 5 years. Dad (73) had a triple bypass in 1992, so I, my wife, and the beast bought a 100 acre horse ranch in Sault Ste. Marie (The Soo) at the top of Michigans Upper Peninsula. Spent 3 years there raising and training draft horses. The beast did a great job pulling hay and moving crap; I had the only tractor in the area that would start in 20 below weather without plugging it in. Moved back to North Idaho (Sandpoint) 2 years ago. Im now building our house with our 2 kids ( 9 and 5) While mom is a Pharmacist at Wal-Mart. Stripped The Beast down for a TOTAL rebuild in November and she went into paint yesterday. Ill post pics when shes done. You asked! Mikey

The David Brown Rose Badge - by Samuel Kennedy. In the 13th century civil war was raging in England. Two English noblemen were involved in a conflict which became known as the War of the Roses.
