The shift pattern is on the cover, next to the shifter boot. you may have to clean to see it. A sherman trans is not visable, other then the handle, and the handle would be below the steering box on the left side,sitting on the tractor. Make sure you have the pto engaged for the lift to work. Pto lever is on the left behind the running board.
