Well I am no electrical wizard and tend to be safer than sorrier.LOL I'm not sure who told me about that on the battery and not starting a + gound while hooked up to the charger but it was someone on one of the tractor boards. I respect the fact you are right since you have most likely forgotten more than I will ever know about tractors etc. I just know I have had some bad experiences and if there is ever a chance for something to go wrong it will find me and prove it once again...LOL When I have a second tractor as a back up I'll try it. Guess my name should be Chicken instead of DUCK>>>LOL
