One of my coworkers dropped the photo of the Long on my desk this morning. I had to do a double-take on that. My dad just had his 1949 Long restored & I thought that was it!! My grandpa bought the tractor new in 1949; we still had all of the accompanying literature; restored to the original color & even got the decals. This was amazing . . since I hardly ever spoke to any of the tractor buffs that even heard of the Long (I grew up on this tractor). I knew they came back into production for a while in the seventies, but didn't think they were producing very long. I'll pass the info along to my Dad; he'll get a kick out of this.
