glad to see this pic come across as a separate post. we had this photo circulate through the office e-mail ssystem awhile back. the refeernce location was "Montana Forest Fires."

I can try to find more specifics about it. I agree Tyman, it is an astounding photograph. Never have I seen all these elements come together into one frame. Seen hillsides like that, seen blow-ups, evacautions, creeks slicing through running crown fires, but never seen the awesome ferocity and sense of beauty come together like this photo. it is amazing.
