It really must have been something to see those get finished & sent out the door. I often wondered if those were shipped mostly by truck or by train? That's a lot of tractor to be shipped out one at a time by semi. On the other hand, my great uncle & cousin that ran the local IH dealership, would recall the days of sending a crew of five or six guys to East Moline to drive the new combines back here to the other side of West Bend in Wi. Always got a kick out of hearing that.
The only other tractor that came close to the 2+2, that I can think of, was the Versatile Bi-Directional. Personally wouldn't mind having a 160. That & a 3588 would have me in hog heaven.
