I broke the first Cardinal Rule of collecting. The best rule is,collect what you like. I tried to get too many in a series,too many of the so called collector editions,things like that,and the cost got to where it started to make me sick. There's so much new stuff coming out all the time that you'll never be able to keep up. So if you see it,you like it and you can afford it,grab it. if you think the only reason you're buying it is to impress somebody else,leave it lay.
I'm getting back to it a little more when I come across something that truly impresses me,but I'm done buying for any other reason than I just plain like it and it impresses me.
