I called yesterday to place a bid with the auctioneers as I know them.
After I told him what I want to bid he said what is so special about this 1466. I told him never mind. He called me back and said he did some checking and figured it out himself.
I asked if he was gonna tell the story at the sale. He said I have to for the seller.
I'm now screwed on my bid. If I could have just went to the auction and kept my mouth shut, I may have got a bargain.
Oh well we will see what happens. The damage to the box may hold the price down.
