I have recently purchased a cast John Deere tractor, I believe 1930 or 31 withtricycle tires, from a friend and military dealer in the Washington DC area. I have asked a number of Deere toy collectors (recently at Dyersville) and no one is familiar with it. It has no maker markings, and is marked "John Deere DP" - no, not GP, but DP. I am trying to find information on it. I can send a picture if needed. It is larger than 1/16 (I am guessing about 12" long, not a reproduction, with a nice old patina. It has steel lugged wheels, a minor casting hole near the steering wheel (1/8"), a spiral spoked steering wheel. It is in good shape. Let me know if this rings a bell or whether I should send a digital picture. I recently retired from John Deere after 30 years and have worked in 6 different engineering units in the US. Also my husband and I buy and sell antiques and collectibles, for about 12 years now. But this tractor is a new one for me. Thanks!

Flax provided the fibre which w
