Stan, That sounds like my uncle. He just can't figure out why I don't remember the threshing machine, before they traded it for a JD 12A combine. I have to original receipt when that trade was made. The receipt detail is: JD A, 2 row cultivator, 3 bottom plow, manure spreader, and a 1/3 share in a 12A combine, trading in his share of the threshing machine. This was 1950. I was 2 years old. Another part of history, Dad bought his farm in 1941. He was 21 yrs. old. Grandpa's farm was 12 miles away. They move that threshing maching (on steel wheels) that 12 miles every year for harvest.
