I have just come across an OLD Pitless Scale Head?
I think it's all brass, though not sure. The inscription reads:

"McDonald
Pitless
U.S. Standard
Manufactured by
Moline Plow Co.
McDonlad Scale Branch
Stoughton, WIS"

with patents from 1881 thru 1906

It has markings out to 8000 pounds?

Can anybody enlighten me on what this might be and/or what it might be worth.

Or, would anybody like to make an offer on it?
