There are 2 variations of the anvil. One is made of a form of brass, and the other is cast iron. I believe the brass ones are from 1937, and the last one I bought on Ebay, I gave $75 for it. The cast iron ones, I believe are a repo, and can be bought for under $10 on Ebay on a regular basis. I have a very nice collection of John Deere centennial items, that were all bought from Ebay, what a great site! These items are shown with the gold leaf d John Deere that was built and paimted gold to celebrate Deeres 100th anniversary from when he built the plow.
