mystery caterpillar cast iron toy

I was wondering if anyone could kindly identify a caterpillar cast iron toy I have, era 1940, as pictured on page 38 & 40 of the book "Farm Tractor Collectibles". Seated is a man with a hat on, holding curved steering clutch levers. it has rubber tracks, small cat style decals, on fue tank, and a silver engine. who made this toy? is it scarce? and what roughly is its value?
