The recommended service interval on your 4010 trans filter is 600 hours. Providing you are using a good filter and a good grade of trans/hyd oil this is often enough. Changing the filter more often just increases the chances of comtaminating the system through the filter housing. We've also seen (in a JD dealership) a lot more brake problem in tractors using COOP trans fluid. We see far fewer problems in tractors using JD HY-GARD. I know COOP is cheaper, and if COOP built tractors I would recommend it for use in them. JD HY-GARD is also formulate to mix with the water than can get in your hyd system instead of floating on top. This prevents pumps that draw off the bottom of the reservoir from getting a shot of water every time the unit is started. Just my 2 cents and good luck with your 4010.
