Isn't that a 12 volt system, not 24 volt? Aren't those two batteries either a pair of 12 volt in parallel or a pair of 6 volt in series? If 6 volt you sure don't want to kill your other 12 volt systems or the 6 volt batteries jumping 6 volt batteries with 12 volts. One battery or the other could inflate rapidly (e.g. explode). A bath in sulfuric acid can be bad for the complexion (to say nothing for the clothes which turn to nothing). If there are only 3 battery caps per battery this is a 12 volt SYSTEM and you jump from the ungrounded battery's positive post and ground with a SINGLE 12 volt system. After sitting 5 years the batteries are probably done and jumping may not accomplish anything. New batteries are needed. Seat cushions cost around $100. Rear tires $400 to 1100 (radials are the most expensive) each, front tires $90 to 150 each. Sitting 5 years has not enhanced the value of the tractor, at least one cylinder sleeve would be rusty and could wear fast. Before cranking you might want to clean out the wasp an mud dauber nests from the intake and exhaust pipes. And put in a new air filter to replace the one perforated by mice. Gerald J.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
