If you plan on working this machine at all I'd say no, it's deffinately not worth $1,000.00. The money you sink in to this thing could be put to much better use on a better designed backhoe unit like an older Massey50 or something like it which are better machine's but still availale cheap. Jd unfortunately never did produce a real good rubber tire backhoe right to this day, and those old gas engine job's of their's were some of the worst. Take it from me my friend, I ran these thing's for over 25 year's for my living, and almost any other type of backhoe is better than a JohnDeere.
