Assuming five to ten acres is all one piece of ground, I'd get something bigger than a garden tractor ... like a Farmall Super A of Allis-Chalmers B or C/CA. That's a lot of ground! You might be surprised how tight you can turn with these little tractors. If your talking about several pieces of ground totalling five to ten acres, then I suggest a Cub Cadet 2000- or 3000-series machine. You might also consider a Farmall Cub with a belly mower.
