Alternator Pulley These tractors use a 5/8 belt. The Delco alternator came with a pulley. Since the belt transfers power through the sides of the belt you need to use a 5/8 belt for it to turn your water pump properly. This causes the belt to ride high on the alternator pulley. Mine works great like this but if you have problems with the belt coming off you will need to remove your alternator pulley and install a 5/8 pulley in its place. Genesee products has these pulleys for $15.00.
