You mean IH "Fire-Crater" or M&W "Add-Power" don't you? Allis also had something called a "Fire-Crater" sleeve & Piston too. The name had something to do with the dome on the pistons creating a hot spot or "Crater" Dad has the M&W's in his '51 M. Neat Sleeve& Pistons. Wrist pins off-set so the rod gets a better angle on the crack throw, and sleeves are a special material that hold oil better than normal gray or ductile iron. I know that M would sure outpull the Super MTA he had at the time!
