I went an bought a 3/8 drive spark plug socket and a 3/8 inch flex handle at sears. The 3/8 spark plug socket is shorter than the 1/2 drive. On second thought it might be a deep socket of the correct size. Anyway it is smaller than the 1/2 inch drive and the flex handle is smaller and it will fit in there on the MD. I think it is the same as the MDV. Still not easy. I only busted one plug, fortunately it was one of the old ones. The new ones cost over $7.00 each! If you want oil to go down into the cylinders, you will have to put the lever in gas postion, otherwise the valve will be closed on the spark plug chamber and the oil will just stay in there.
