When i was a kid my dad damaged the ties on our A with the help of a tree. Well i remember we were able to straighten one of the rods out. I don't think the heat will hurt them, are they the extending kind? I wouldnt recomend taking them apartr when you straighten them, they may not go back together. If you change the length on them alot, then i would get new ones, but if not, i'd just straighten them out. Good luck
