I always thought that alcohol burned colder than gas. It has less BTU's than gas, so why would it burn hotter? I know that you can go up to an alcohol burning sprint car after it's raced a full race and be able to touch it's exhaust manifold so I've been told. Their pretty warm, but won't instantly burn you. If alcohol did burn hotter, than how do they keep those Top feul drag racers cool without a radiator. They may only run at full power for 4 seconds, but they use 8 gallons of fuel. I heard thet the problem with jet sky's and outbaord boat motors was that the fuel ilines and seals were eaten up by the ethonol.
