856 IH Tractor

I may go look at a 856 Diesel that is for sale. It is supposed to be in excellent condition with only 5,000 hours. Seller says it is ready to go to work with no work needed on it. Seller says he thinks the 856 might be the best series IH has ever made. He is asking $7,750 (no cab). I would appreciate feedback from any of you on this and also any specifics (good or bad) on the 856 series.
