Pat, there is a tool to do that with It's two big u's with two bolt holes in them with spacers between the bolts. When you back off on the wedge one side pops out and hits the U thing on it's side and the pressure pops the other side out. If you already have that tool and the wedges are just not moving use a lot of "Blaster", if all else fails I have had to use some heat.
